Role: UX Researcher
Usability tests are conducted before releasing a new product or adding a new feature to make sure assumptions are correct. Using them helps identify possible pain points associated with a product and solve them, as well as measure its efficiency in its current version.

How Might We
make br!ng app a user centred product? Hence there is need for regular research to be carried out on br!ng.
Research Objectives

To understand and evaluate the app through the eyes of the users and to know user needs.

To also understand what users, enjoy aboutthe product and possible room forimprovement,taking any recommendation into account.

To understand users pain points while using the App.
Research Methodology
Recruitment
•6 Participants between the ages of 18 – 75
•2 Caucasians, 3 Black and 1 Asian participants
•3 Males and 3 Females
•1 participant has arthritis, 1 was colour blind and 1 was not as technologically savvy.

Key Findings from Interviews


The research findings were discussed over a Teams meeting and shared documents

All six users suggest to have a sign-up option directly linked to their Google or Apple ID
-
5/6 would love to have more product advert on the homepage
-
4/6 would prefer more visual details and information regarding the products
-
3/6 users thinks search option for products will make shopping easier

4/6 users suggest to having products categorised into their various similarities
-
4/6 found the navigation through the app quite straight forward

The search icon should be added so users do not get overwhelmed with a lot of product to search through before getting to their choice of purchase
For easy navigation the icons tray should be placed at the top or bottom of every page. The list of icons are; home page, search icon, shopping bag/ cart, wish list, profile

Recommendations
The splash screen should be created as simple as possible for users. There should be a loading screen with the logo at the middle; this leads to a welcome screen that gives more information about that app.

User on boarding is no longer just about welcoming new customers, rather, it is about showing them around and making sure they have a successful experience.

So users don’t feel overwhelmed by the app with all the forms at once, users can enter their phone number and get a one-time password. Or the different options of signing up with Apple ID or Google.
